I cancelled my trip to Toronto Fashion Week partly due to work commitments, and also because I just couldn't get a Soïa & Kyo coat out of my head. The cost of this coat worked out to be around the same price as the trip to Toronto, and in the end, Soïa & Kyo won out. Now, this isn't just any coat. I mean, it'd have to be pretty special to warrant me to cancel a trip to Fashion Week, right? Damn rights.
After first discovering Soïa & Kyo at Montreal Fashion Week last March, and hearing all about them again this season, I was definitely on-board the S&K train. I found my Soïa & Kyo coat at Simon's in Montreal, but even though my heart screamed "Yes!", my pocketbook yelled louder with a resounding "No". After deciding to cancel my visit to T.O., I stopped by the Soïa & Kyo website to have a peek and see what their online sales were all about. Well, let's just say that I had my new coat on order and a FedEx tracking number within five minutes flat. The coat just arrived on my doorstep, and I'm happy as a clam.
My beautiful new Margo-S arrived wrapped in customized S&K tissue paper, along with an S&K tote bag, S&K keychain, S&K hanger, and care instructions to make sure I treat Margo-S right. If you've got the budget for it, I highly recommend picking up an S&K coat for the cold winter months ahead. I have no regrets about sacrificing a little fun in Toronto for many winters to come where I don't look and feel like the Michelin Tire Man.
Soïa & Kyo can be found at Allegro (53 William Street) and Urban Trade (Bayshore Shopping Centre) in Ottawa.
